Weekly Recap

My birthday-it was nice and quiet. Just how I wanted it to be. Selena and Rayanne surprised me in the morning with their homemade cards and Rayanne even gave me a gift she made the night before. After I took the girls to school, my dad and I went to Honda to get maintenance on my car. We had a nice birthday breakfast after I picked up my car and as we were about to head home, the winter storm was starting. But surprisingly enough, as we reached Markham, it wasn't snowing! It always snows here up north! As the snow started to reach Markham in the early evening, my family was wondering if we were actually going to my make it to my birthday dinner! But the clan were troopers, and we all minus my mom, and including my auntie Marie, headed to our joint at Kelsey's. My evening was capped off with a birthday song from my niece Seyla on my voicemail.

Valentine's Day-Well, there really wasn't much to my V-day since my husband is another country. But the day before I did receive a late birthday, early valentine's bouquet. My wonderful husband sent me 12 long stem red roses plus 5 calla lilies! Very sweet, and even sweeter was that he made sure that it was from him and the girls.

Family Day- Thank you Dalton McGuinty for this paid holiday. My mom's entire family came over for a 'family day' and we did nothing but talk, laugh and even shed some tears over Popeye's chicken, and pizza and wings. We had so much fun, and we learned so much together as a family that we're all looking forward to our next gathering which is 2 weeks from now! I think it's family therapy!

Today- the girls got to stay up a little later than their bedtime to watch the lunar eclipse. The girls were pretty excited to watch this rare occurence and it really was pretty to see. Just 15 minutes ago, at exactly 10pm, it was fully eclipsed. Selena even took notes at different times on what was happening to the moon.
