As a morning commuter, that drives to work during late rush hour, I realized today that there are MANY bad drivers on the road, especially here in Markham where I live. On the way to Tim Hortons is a single lane on both sides with a middle lane for cars that need to turn left. As I'm approaching Tim Hortons, another car in the opposite direction is in that left lane just driving, not wanting to turn left, but just to avoid traffic on the one lane that he should be driving on!
The idiot finally saw my car, and literally within 3 seconds, swerved to the right lane, almost hitting another car. I couldn't believe that I almost endured a head on collision with such an impatient driver. Just today alone, SO MANY drivers don't know how to obey a four way stop, and don't know how to use their signals. If drivers just use their signals all the time, other drivers wouldn't be so impatient and confused, and traffic, especially at a four way stop, would run much more smoothly. My biggest pet peeve, those drivers that are stuck in traffic and still procede through a green traffic light, KNOWINGLY they are going to be blocking an intersection! This just produces more traffic!
Don't get me wrong, I can be a pretty impatient driver but because of the bad drivers on the road! I consider myself more of an assertive and aggressive driver and after having such a terrible commute this morning, I have to apologize to my husband who has road rage every time I talk to him on his way home from work. My husband is an excellent driver but now I understand its because of the bad drivers out there! I'm just glad that I've emulated my dad's driving skills and aggressiveness, and if it wasn't for my trusted Caramel Coretto latte, I would have been more cranky and pissed off. At least tomorrow, I start work at 11:30, so I'm already happy knowing I won't have to deal with these morning commuters.
his way of saying good bye
