Selena and Rayanne have finally finished the school year. Now that the girls are going to be staying at their school at least for another half of the year, there were alot less tears than expected. Well actually, on the last day of school, Selena and most of her friends came out of school crying even though they all knew she was staying. But she did receive a special gift from a grade 8 boy who gave her a Jabbawockeez t shirt because he was leaving the school and he thought that Selena was leaving for California this summer. She swears they don't like each other (I believe her!) and that they are just friends.
Rayanne on the other hand seems to be my little award recipient. Last year when she was in JK, she won the Christian Leadership award, this year she stepped up her game, and she won the Academic Achievement award! This is a great honour since only 2 students per class receive each of these awards. I'm looking forward for the girls going back to St. Julia in the new school year, but it will be even harder by December for the girls to leave. Not only has the school made a lasting impression on my daughters, but I think my girls have also left a lasting impression at the school.
