Date Night

Eric and I were actually able to have some alone time and not alone time where we are doing grocery shopping or running errands. Thanks to my brother in law and his girlfriend and my cousin and his girlfriend, we were given gift certificates to Richtree and to the Keg. When Brian was here last September, one of his and Antoinette's favourite places to eat was at Richtree so naturally they wanted us to find some time when Eric was here to have a meal on them! We actually went to have breakfast at Richtree right after we went to the American Embassy to get Emma's birth abroad (american citizenship).

After our day downtown with the girls, Eric and I headed to the Keg for our dinner date. The food was great. We started off with scallops wrapped in bacon, then I had the filet mignon topped with blue cheese and two grilled cloves of garlic plus it was also wrapped in bacon! Eric had the prime rib with garlic mash potatoes and onion strings. We washed our delicious food with some Heineken and one of my favourite red wines, Shiraz (oh, how I've missed you!). We ended our dinner with an amazing dessert called Billy Miner pie. Unfortunately, we forgot to take a picture of the dessert because we both just dove into it right away, it was that good! It was nice to spend some time alone together as we rarely get to do that now. Thanks to Mom and Dad C for watching the kids, Ate Rayanne for putting baby Emma to sleep and to Brian and Antoinette and Francis and Tracy for giving us the opportunity to eat some great food and be just 'husband and wife'.

You're date night was indeed a deserved indulgence!!!

Dion and I have date nights, too: They're called Fresco Sundays (aka "healthy" tacos from Taco Bell, eaten on Sundays before I bring him home).

hahaha
