Family Day in the city

This past weekend before Eric left to go home to California, the girls wanted to have a 'family day'. It was the girls choice on what they wanted to do, so after much discussion we all decided to go to CN Tower. It was a great choice since I also wanted to go downtown to see the Christmas windows at the Bay before they went down. When my sister and I were little, my parents used to take us to the Bay (originally Simpsons) to see the Christmas windows and I wanted to show my girls this was a tradition we used to do when we were their age. Unfortunately, as nice as the windows were, I remember the windows being wrapped around the block of the building. Now it's just the one strip on Queen St. We also went to Eaton Centre to do some shopping. But one of the best parts about going downtown was having the best Toronto Street Eats. We had street dogs and Mr. Tasty fries, the blue fries truck parked infront of Nathan Phillip Square. Yum! Despite the cold weather and the crowds at Eaton Centre, it was definitely a great day for our family.
