While we were in Montreal, all I could think about was food. Since this past weekend I had to pass up ribs at the ribfest because of my wisdom teeth taken out, I was ready to eat about anything! I was pretty satified to have poutine in Montreal but I was thoroughly excited when we decided to have breakfast in Old Montreal at this place called Chez Suzette. Their speciality was crepes and fondue! Yum. Mom and Dad had breakfast crepes, Eric had quiche and the girls couldn't pass up a delicious strawberry/ice cream dessert crepe. As for me, I had to have the cheese fondue! For lunch, from the suggestion of my cousins, we headed to Schwartz for their montreal smoked meat. This place always has a line up. But we could see why. The meat practically melts in your mouth. My mom even bought a 5 pounder so that Eric can share it with his family. On our way home, we had to pick up pizza at this place just steps away from our hotel. It's called Pizza Il Focolaio and they serve wood oven pizzas. Needless to say, after this past weekend, my mouth palette and my baby were satisfied with what we ate in Montreal. If you're ever in the city, you must check out these spots:
